Charli D’Amelio is the most followed Tik Tok star on the app and she is only 16 years old. D’Amelio has forever helped develop and change the Tik Tok app and she is by far one of the biggest influences on Tik Tok. Her fam base ranges from 10–25 years old which, is a wide variety. Whether people like her or not everyone on Tik Tok knows who she is and has seen her videos.

If I ever got the chance to interview Charli my first question would be “how do you do it?”. I can't imagine how she even handles all of the fame and the hate that comes with being the number one Tik Tok star. Thinking back to when I was only 16 I personally would not have known what to do at that age with 100 million followers. I feel like this has forced D’Amelio to grow up fast at such a young age and develop more of a business mindset with still trying to be a kid. Since she joined Tik Tok her videos have changed tremendously. She basically started all of the dancing that happens on the app since she has a background of being a dancer. After her fame started to really explode the small-town Connecticut 16 year old began to receive a tremendous amount of hate for anything she posted. This has definitely taken a hard toll on Charli and since then she has changed what she posts and how much she posts. That would all be another thing I would ask her about in an interview is “How has the hate affected you?”. Her followers have definitely seen a change in her content and have said already that she feels like she can't do anything without making someone upset.

During her fats growth to fame, Charli picked up a lot of brand deals along the way. Her biggest deal is with Dunkin’ Donuts where she has two drinks named after her. Dunkin’ has never done this for an influencer before so this is a huge deal for D’Amelio. The next big deal she has made is with the makeup company Morphe. She and her sister came out with a natural beauty line that can appeal to a younger and older crowd. Overall, Charli has been very successful therefore my last question would be “What is your favorite thing about being an influencer?”.
